Have anyone experience long term use of other oil brands?

i have been using royal purple 10-40 full syn for around 10k miles ( i change oil ever 5k) the waste oil looked great and still had great characteristics... i also am using less oil i now drop 1/2 qt ever 1000 miles instead of 1 qt every 1000 miles

Mobil 1 Delvac 5w-40....not that different, but it has more zinc.....been touted as better for our cars (approved weight, also called turbo diesel in the USA...). No issues.

amsoil here.. It used to give me amazing engine life back in my 2 wheel racing days, I am hoping to see the same results on the P cars.
