You need to use PCCB specific pads if I'm not mistaken.

I'm a little slow. Are you saying you only did 1/2 inch width bevel on the edges? Not the entire leading and trailing edge? Any way to post a pic or diagram of what I'm supposed to do? Would really appreciate it.

Thanks, Scott

Your GT2 has the tamest pads available.

1/2 wide flat section (though I rounded mine) especially on the edge where the disc enters the caliper.

Jury is out wheter the other edge does anything, seemed to on mine.

Roughly THIS concept:

wow that's an excessive bevel. I have just used my die grinder and carefully taken the LEADING edge only to about an 1/8" is all you need. 1/2" bevel on both ends would be loosing 25% or more surface area!

I use the Pagid 4-2-1 black pads for the street and they are much better than the P90 yellows that are oem on the GT2/3. No noise and good bite. Better all around pad. For the track the Pagid Yellow 29 w/ the black 4-2-1 seems to reduce the front bias.

It's my understanding that it's just the leading edge, dont think you have to do both leading and trailing- anyone have any practical experience?

Yes, the arrows. I only do a 1/4" bevel - the pic was to show ONLY where.

The point at which the rotor enters the caliper is most important.

What do you use OAK for track, exactly?

Well I beveled mine and I sound like a school bus around town. So I'm not sure that this is a fix.

I leave Pagids on my car year round and have learned to modulate the brake pedal to eliminate 99% of the squeal. I have never beveled the edge.

I'm going to have to learn how to do that. I've already noticed that it's intermittent depending on how hard I am on the pedal.

What's the difference between Pagid Yelllow RS19 and RS29? I think RS29 has little more bite than RS19?

That is pretty much what Pagid says about them:
