HI!
With stage 1 mod, EUC, exhaust and DV, what is the typical 0-60 performance? Do u think I can beat my friend's stock R35 with these? I hate having tried my friend's R35.............

Don't race him from a stop. You'd have to play catch up.
From a roll you should be able to pull..very slowly

It depends which GTR he has. The ringer they sent out for the magazine tests or the car that anyone can buy at a dealership!!
Seriously, if his GTR is as fast as the better ones in the mags you probably cant beat him from a dig but you will pull on him from a roll. My stage 2 996TT was 9.6s in 60-130mph. The stock GTR from the mags was 10.9s I believe.

From a dig, get your driving skills ready because you'll need a great launch to beat the launch control. You have a chance from a dig, but a very slight one. From a roll you have a very good chance. This is assuming you can shift well.

Should win as long as you use the launch feature. If you botch the launch too bad you could lose, but equal to slightly slower launch and the TT will win. Never driven a Tip so dont know how hard the launch feature is, but should be easier than the GT-R's

Thanks very much for all your responses.
Perhaps the way to beat him is to get a GTR as well.
It is very easy to get a GTR35 in HK, there are so many around in the street and in showrooms.

Totally different animal. If your goal is to beat a R35 from a dig there are plenty of ways to do it ...

For me it's even easier to get a R35 - I'm in Japan! But has never been tempted to trade in my 996TT. To beat one in street driving I could simply get hybrid GT28 turbos.
