Bought FVD Daytona steering wheel but no one wants to install them

I bought this steering wheel from FVD and has brought it to a few shop and wanted them to install it but as they realize they need to splice the airbag wire to the existing air bag connector, no body wants to do it due to liability concerns. To make thing worse, the wires has no indication which one is to unite with the original wire when they are spliced and I have phone up FVD in FL and inquired about which wire is postive / negative so I can splice them up correctly but they don't know.

Anybody can help?

I would ask FLO at FVD to look into it for you.... he is a good guy, FVD should supply you with the instructions...

George, which is your shop? PM me if you can't post it due to sponsorship issues. I'm not that close but I'm close enough...

Yip, there should have been instructions in the box, if I remember correctly it did take a little bit of working out as they were not very accurate though.

My friend had exactly the same steering wheel but his come with some kind of adaptor and does not need to splice the airbag wires up. I don't know hwy mines did not coem with an adaptor when I asked FVD, they said they longer use adaptor It is the splicing part that scares people away due to liability issues.

In terms of the instruction, the wires has no indication as to which one is positive or negative and which to match up with the one needs to be spliced. Can anyone help??

I don't think the airbag needs splicing at all. just the horn wires. The airbag connector is the small connector that plugs in the center of the wheel... right?

Can you post pictures of the wires?
