Sorry, Kevin. I remember you saying that UMW made a race gas file for you, so I thought you would be running it, but now I'm thinking he made it after the runs were made. Anyhow, we both had the 16/24's and both ran about the same and both had about the fastest K16/24 times. I am simply trying to point out how my K24/18G's outperformed the K16/24's simply by driving the car the same way I normally would. I did nothing different and moved to another level of acceleration - sort of "up one notch". And it didn't take long (in distance) to do it, by 1/8 mile 660', which is nothing in an automobile, I was travelling much faster and covered the distance in substantially less time. This all started out as a lag issue K16 vs. K24, so I am offering and trying to demonstrate that the lag difference is not a "big factor" based on my experience - I don't notice much lag with my set-up and my comparative numbers seem to bear that out - at least to me and a few others.

I think there is a few guys here with the K24's, so I am sure we can make it happen. It would be fun for sure. But I am running stock injectors, so obviously more fuel always wins and that is not apples to apples.

then we can go polish off that bottle of JWB

I think 600/640 dyno was on full race gas and that may explain the extra power as well.

Prche951, You're right, I think the big black dyno is the best one to settle these types of debates :-)

exactly. Deepblue is building a K24 car, but the bastard(I mean that in a nice way) is going with larger injectors/rails, etc., so he will absolutely eat my lunch.

you also know that our times up here won't be what you are use to. NA cars average 1 full second slower and turbos are 3/4 second slower from what people at the drags have told me, STI and Evo owners included.

The original post really had nothing to do with hybrids, but they have taken over as the topic of dicussion, which seems to be going in circles unless someone is going to use the same car for the tests.

I think we all know that all else being equal, a K24 car is faster than a K16 car though, even with a tad more lag in boost.

We have a local track rental coming up here very soon, so we should have some very friendly comparisons, with MANY witnesses!!! I'm pretty sure that there will be K16, K24 AND all kinds of Hybrid cars too. Mine should be done today

John, you are correct about the race gas file. I did have it in hand and was on my way to the dragstrip when my VarioCam module pooped out on me. The car actually died as I turned into the dragstrip. It is too bad since I think it would have been a significant improvement, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. BTW, you dont have to explain your acceleration and facts and figures about your 16s vs 18s to me.... I could care less. Just wanted to correct the record, nothing more. Good luck at the track, I am sure there are only a few weeks left at NEDW. Kevin

Hey KPG, let me know if you want to run at a mid michigan test and tune. Milan is a bit far for me unfortunately. Was hoping to see your car running after all this time.
