IPOD Integration Kit

I did a search on the Ipod Integration Kit and found that Vivid Racing has a Dice Kit for $579.99.
Any feedback on this item or suggestions for something better is appreciated.

cheers.
George

I read about somebody making a good product now for the pre-MOST units at a very acceptable price (either here on 6speed or on rennlist). He was going to start working on a MOST unit pretty soon.
I'm going to wait. 600$ is a rip-off !

ipod

I paid Fred Opert Racing $50 for an adaptor that plugs into the back of the stock stereo in the 6 disc changer plug. Your stereo thinks that the I-pod is the 6 disc changer. It is inexpensive, and works.

I had a dension installed by the dealer....It wasn't cheap. $950.00..its crashed 3 times but they always replace it for free and I get a loaner car while its in the shop. When it works...its great.....all the info on ur nav screen and easy to navigate.

Ive had several ipod kits (per se) for other cars. Bmw's mostly. And its from my experience that oem and dice worked best. The M5 ipod kit worked the best. It allowed me to see the title of the songs i'm currently listening to, it allowed me to view different playlists exactly the way it is on my ipod. It also remembers what the last song i was listening to (very important).
Being said, if i have to spend more money to get important features such as these, i will. BUT, i would rather spend less.

Has anyone created a good DIY install guide for the DICE iPod unit in a Cayenne or other PCM 2.x Porsche?

Thanks.
