I did the search but want the latest info -

If i was to upgrade my car w/ a ECU tune, 1.2 bars on k16 - what plugs would best fit that applications and what should the spark plug be gapped to?

I would go with Bosch, FR6 LDC or LDU at that level.

What is the difference between LDC and LDU and why would you chose one over the other? I am planning on changing my plugs this winter and would love this info (GT610, 1.2 bar)

Your WAY over spinnning at 1.2 Bar with K16's. Use the Bosch LDC.

Not sure about the 1.2bar part on K16s. I'd stick to 1bar or at most 1.1... Either way, the plugs you should use are the FR6Bosch. They'll last longer than anything else. For higher hp apps just go with the Densos.

Both plugs are good from what I've read. You can do a search here an also on Rennlist or Renntech

I have the bosch fr6 ldc's and have had no issues. Come at the right gap I think from the get go.....

These don't have cold weather issues. Some plugs do. I don't know which ones. Call some engine builders that see snow/cold if you need more data like Stephen at IA or Kevin at UMW. You are in NYC.....Tx/Fl/Miss/etc. warm places may not need what you need.

Change them every 20k with a tuned car and go.

My plan. Doing it. No problems. Not worth thinking too hard as they are cheap and you don't get magical power from a plug despite the bs out there. Even if you did, can you actually "feel" 2 more HP.....it is funny when you sit and think about it. Having a detonation problem is just not worth it......

Most feel a stock k16 max's out efficiency at 1.0 bar to maybe 1.1....fyi.

No issues since the change, btw.

JB

Plugs come pre-gapped. No worries on gapping them!

Correct, most of the time they come pre-gapped, it's always nice to double check them to make sure they didn't come out of spec during shipment. Most of the time they will be within specs but it's always nice to be sure.
