04 TT Cab / 05 TT S Cab pricing...

Hi Guys,

A local dealer has both a 04 TT Cab and and a 05 TT S Cab on the lot. I haven't stopped in yet, and before I do, I would like to know more about the market pricing for these cars right now. I'd only buy if it was a very good or great deal, so I'd like to know what a "very good - great deal" for either of these would be?

Here are some quick specs:

04 TT Cab
Black and Black
13k miles
6 speed
looks to be normally optioned TT
no mods
has red brakes
they are asking 69k

05 TT S Cab
Silver and Black
20k miles
6 speed
looks loaded with everything
no mods
has PCCB (is this a maintance liability ??)
they are asking 79k

If you guys would list a price for either TT that you think would be a "very good - great deal" that would help me a lot. Thanks so much !

Used car lot "dealer"
or real Porsche dealer?

CPOs? A cpo adds 3-4k more in value, IMO

I'd not be concerned about PCCBs... yes they are $$ to replace, but they'll last

4-5k off those prices would be good. 7-9k great

A

Not CPO that i am aware of, they are at a luxury car dealership, but not a Porsche dealership.

Do you think I have more leverage on price due to the fact they are at a non-Porsche dealer?

Amazing how much the prices on these cars have come down! 6 months ago, both of those prices would have been thought of as amazing!

Just wait couple more months and you can get a low miles 04 TT cab for low to mid $50's
There are 2 members here with 05 TT-S cab (they look great!!!), low miles and they asking $75k. In my opinion i prefer to buy my next car car from a fellow 6 speeder than from a dealer.

There's a nicer 2005 996TTS Cab posted on this forum, with less miles, for $69K, so that's a good price. $65K would be a great price. Today. But 60 days from now, that won't seem all that great. A lot of early 05s are falling off warranty right now, and they are all hitting the market at the worst time.

agreed, but i am trading my 06 997s cab to do the deal, and i don't want to deal with selling it, i just want to trade it. a local dealer offered me 66k for the 997s, and i figured if that will get me into a TT with little or no out of pocket after ca taxes i think i'll make the leap.

They are a used car lot with nice furniture. Don't be fooled.

The term "dealership" is a company that is licensed to represent a specific marque.

You have a better change at an honest sale via private party

They are real dealer, with an excellent reputation, just not a Porsche store. Plus I would bring it to my local Porsche store and have it checked out before I did anything.

Anyway, I called and spoke with a salesperson, and it turns out the 05 TT S is still under factory warranty and it is a one owner car, which I like, so he is going to get me more details.

I am in no rush, so I'll just let them stew. If it's still around, I might go for a test drive this weekend.
