Don't want to hijack the thread, but I may be able to help you out on the seats. Shoot me a PM and let me know what you're after. I have at least one set and possible two sets for sale.

Thanks,
Adam

Help Upgrading from standard 996 seats to full power/

Hi I'm hoping for some help. I just got a set of full power with memory seats for 996. When I went to plug them in, the connectors fit, but looks like I'm not getting any power. When looking closely at the connectors, looks like the connector on the driver side seat is missing the power pins in the connector. Anyone have a picture of the connector for the power seats with memory function they can post. I can't tell what connector I need to get to make these seats work. I don't care about the memory, but just want the full power option. Thanks in advance for any light you guys can shed on this for me.

I had the same problem when I installed Sport Seats into my car. On the wires where the pins didn't match up, I ended up bypassing the plug all together by using a separate piece of wire to connect the circuit.

Man this brought back memories...

So I bought the powered seats from Adam, and they were amazing, until I sat in Larry's "sport" seats this past weekend, while driving his car...

Amazing... Boy could I use a set of SPORT seats...

This chit never ends, does it?

To my understanding, Ray and Mike have it correct. The US GT3's came with the hard back sport seats (optional in the turbo). The one piece GT3 bucket seats were Euro only and not allowed in US production vehicles.

Correct. They were NOT, repeat NOT USDOT approved for sale in the United States. I don't have the specifics on WHY they weren't, but they weren't!
