Anyone here have an 05- Turbo S on-order?
Hi, wanted to know what kind of discounts (if any) people are getting on 2005 Turbo S orders? If you have one on order, when's the scheduled delivery date?
Thanks,

Seal Gray heavily spec'ed TT "S" Cab, October build, November delivery. Small discount, however I must say that with the limited availability of the TT "S" and no 997 TT, just getting an 05 TT "S" could be an issue. Demand is high for the TT "S" and the supply is very limited. I think my discount is due to having purchased four new Pcars over four years.
I was recently offered a $15K discount on a 2004 TT Cab. Final price $118,989.
Every dealer has plenty inventory of 2004 Turbos. I do not share the opinion that a 2005 Turbo S will be hard to get. A $500 Upsolute chip makes a non S perform better than an S without the K24 turbo lag.
These cars have just been in production since the beginning of September and will start hitting the East coast in late October.
I expect to see great deals on a 2005 Turbo S before November is over.
Keep in mind that a large # of Porsche are not allocated and custom ordered. They just show up at the dealer.

BlackBear, The issue of remaining 04 TT inventories is very regional as I have shopped the dealer locator extensively. If you want a Black/Black, you might be right as there are a number of these. There is NOT "plenty inventory" of 04 TT's as you state, as I have used the Porsche tool available to assist in finding a car. My search was nationwide using five key zip codes searching 500 miles from each zip code, allowing me to search the 911 inventory of virtually every dealer in the US.
You won't get a $15K discount from many dealers, only those who have heavy inventories and high flooring bills and are having cash flow problems, which are few and far between.
As for the 05 TT "S", you are very wrong in your guess about large inventories and big discounts on 05 TT "S" models. ALL 05 TT "S" units are on allocation and not all dealers will get even one. There is always an exception to every situation and there may be a dealer who will offer a significant discount on the 05 TT "S", but as a general rule that will not be the case.

Thanks for the feedback guys. It seems like a discount is do-able, but not to the amount of $15K, but a $5-8K discount seems do-able. I haven't really finalized anything, but am thinking of either a Turbo S or a slightly used GT2.
Thanks again!

Exactly. If you are talking turbo cab, there are quite a few 2004's available. They made less than 200 2004 Turbo Coupes and I never see them in dealer inventory.
