leftlane-
I did buy the black cab from Park Place Porsche Dallas. So far it's been a great experience. They've done what was promised in a courteous and timely manner. I had them install Fabspeed exhaust and Nav-TV Ipod interface. I'm used to American muscle car exhaust notes so it'll take some time to get used to the new Euro exhaust notes. I don't mind learning this type of new song !!!

Any more detail; trans, extras, color, repair/clean history?, This is definately a low watermark for recent sales.

Well it's had a couple of owners, but of the history I could find it's good. It's a stock 6-speed car. It went though a PPI and only needs new rear tires. It was serviced at a Porsche dealership and the certainly covered all the scheduled stuff plus some extra stuff.

It's not perfect but is in good shape, especially the exterior. It's arctic silver with a gray and aluma interior. I'd prefer black interior personally, but it is pretty much full leather except the vent fins which I like. I worry about how gray wears, and the rear center console shows wear near where the seat belt attaches (it's leather covered). I'm really **** about my cars so any imperfection drives me nuts and will have to be addressed. It was just too good a deal to pass up in the end so I pursued it quickly and aggressively.

You can replace those worn pieces, don't let it bug you. You can ffolrd to spend a little considering the deal you have.

2002 996 Turbo

Bought 5/07 for 65k with 3 yr cpo warranty
Got for 2k off ask
Black/black 18k miles 6-speed. Now has 27k miles.
I put in an Alpine 2DIN system. Had upgraded alpine amps already.
Changed steering wheel to black alcantara (matches headliner). Will do same with shifter.
Absolutely love the car and it's FAST. Completely different animal than the non-turbo. Still gets lots of looks. V

Question

Need your opinion on this one guys, if it's a good deal:

1) How much did you pay for your used 996TT? 47.5k + TTL
2) When did you buy it? Debating
3) Year and mileage? 03|28K
4) What was the original price, and how much did you bargain down? $48,994
5) Did it come with the warranty, or did you buy one, or neither? Remainder of CPO (2yr/100k)

What do you guys think, is this a good deal? kbb.com is telling me that it should be worth $57k for PPV, but it's being sold by a dealer.

Sounds like a decent deal, if it's *the* car, then do it. For the right car, I'd pay that- but make sure it's exactly what you want, and passes a PPI at a indy mechanic.

Dealership selling it has serviced it all it's life and is a Porsche dealer and offers the PPi if I request it.

I wouldn't trust the dealer selling it to do a PPI. Do you know of any good indy shops in your area?
