Learning Disability?

During the past year I have gone from a 996 Turbo Cab to a 997 GT3 to another 996 Turbo cab and back to a 997 GT3.

Now I have a black 996 Turbo cab, I bought it with only 8k miles on it with the Porsche Extended Warranty. The car was in NEW condition when I bought it. The interior smelled like a brand new Porsche. When I got it home it had the smell a brand new car has when the cosmoline burns off the motor.

Anyhow, I want a GT3 again.

I must have some king of learning disability. I want the power of the Turbo, I want a convertible. . . But I just miss the GT3's handling and red-line.

Do you think I'll be back looking for a Turbo if I get a GT3 again?

I listed my Turbo cab for sale here:

Sounds like you need both cars! Keep the turbo and find a GT3, it's the best of both worlds.

The extra money you need was spent on going back and forth :-)

Stay with the turbo, do some easy mods and enjoy :-)

Side question, how did you get your headlights painted? Does this affect the indicators and fog lights?

You need to use black electrical tape to mask off the center of the lights. Don't use painters tape. It does not bend and will create caveties which suck in paint. The outcome would not be good.

You use VHL Night Shades spray cans.

Make sure you only put on a very thin layer at a time. The paint runs easily otherwise. I did several coats.

The blinker is hard to see now in the front.

Next time I'll take the bumper off I'll install a motorcycle blinker behind the black mesh.

On the tail light I moved the rear blinker from the upper area - which is now tinted - to the lower area. I just swapped it into the fog light slot. I now have red rear blinkers.

Mod your turbo up right with RWD, bigger power and focus on the suspension and you should be all set... One will never be the other but you can make one more like the other with mods... I would start with the turbo and move it towards the GT3 b/c the other way doesn't really work or will cost you BIG BUCKS!

Yes. Likely easier to make the TT handle like a GT3 than it is to get the GT3 to the power level of the turbo. And when you want to mod, skys the limit with the turbo...and it will still handle
