When I made the leap to my TT cab I was ecstatic... However, now after reading this site for the past month, I find myself dismissing praise with "oh it is just stock"... WTF!!! Now every porsche I see I anaylize everything: wheels, suspension, exhaust, ECU, turbos, aerokit, seats and even center consoles....

This is an illness, I too want to mod my car, the question is where to start I know the first thing will be wheels and suspension. I am concerned about warranty, how will the mods affect my vehicle from a longevity and durability perspective???

Your by far not alone, I picked up my car about 6 months ago after a long 8 month wait, I vowed never to touch a thing on it nor was I aware that you could get anything for these cars apart from wheels and cosmetic things.

Then I found this site and the rest is history...Oh and so is a large sum of money from my bank account...Happy modding & Enjoy.

Vin,

The boring way to mod is to ship it to a tuner (there are several on this board) who will take your car and a large portion of your bank account and return a turnkey package to you. The end result is great, but you'll miss out on half the fun which is picking and choosing.

The fun way is to do things one at a time, choosing your mods with surgical precision and hunting for a killer price.

The first step you take will depend on your driving habits.

If you're a canyon/track junkie, the first thing you want to do is put in a PSS9, JIC, or Moton suspension. Budget anywhere from $2500-$5K+++ on suspension.

If you're a 'regular' driver, the first thing you should do is get an exhaust (Europipe is great). Budget $2000 - $5K for this.

The next step for performance is chipping the car. Upsolute is a steal at $500. GIAC is a great brand, but costs $2K+

I've spent around $3500 on performance mods and for that I got a Techart suspension, Upsolute chip, and Performance Project Exhaust. My spending is not typical (I really shopped around for the suspension) - many of the guys on this board have spent more than this amount on just 1 mod!

Let us know what you decide to do first.

I think you are right the best way to mod is one step at a time... The thrill is definitely in the hunt...

PS. I just met up with Orli and his ride is bad a$$... Then I got a ride, how do I describe this: I ALMOST PEEE'D MY PANTS....

One step at a time ends up costing more in the long run
