Pentosin fluid leaking need help!!
I noticed that my pentosin fluid is leaking. I know there are three connections on top and touched the furthest one in the back and felt the fluid leaking. Probably time for new reservoir or??? Any help would be appreciated.
Used for power steering as well as clutch. Important fluid to check on sometimes. Located at Right side with black cap, written pentosin on it. Hope this helps.
Hey Art,
Sorry to hear it. I am assuming it's in the rear. There are a few hoses that can go bad...but the tricky part is that they can mely the inside of the res. So make sure you check it all or you will chase the res. issue. Have you sown it to Betim? Since he has r&r'd so many motors he sould be able to bang it out.
Good luck...How is she runnin?

You have several areas where it can be leaking from. You have three lines that connect to the slave cyclinder, plus the accumulator, plus the line that connects the flex line to the green hardline all at the rear.
All the parts to "fix" the leak will run you about $375. Labor should be somewhere around 3 hours or less.
Don't drive that car until you fix it, as the fluid can leak onto the turbos or the cats and the Pentosin fluid has a VERY HIGH flashpoint for ignition. In other words, it takes a LOT of heat to ignite it, but when it does, you will lose your car...

Pentosin is also the steering fluid and here is a good warning thread about this fluid. Mike is right, this stuff is no joke.
