Mike and all, What a great thread and so timely. I'm here to learn and contribute anything I can.

I installed PSS9's installed in 2006 after I bot my car in 2005. What an improvement that was. But after getting a ride in 9973, I knew I'd have to improve suspension and get a more direct feel. Just last week I installed new H&R sway bars and adjustable droplinks (front only) as well as upper, rear control arms, AKA dogbones. I'll get a corner balance in the next week or two. I set rear bar to full stiff and front bar to medium. I got the car out today for first time and I can definitely feel the difference in the corners. Now I'm wondering if I should take the next step to PSS10's. I'm currently running MPS2's for tires.

My understanding is pss10's are mostly a cosmetic upgrade to the 9... Better **** and one more click.

So, I'd not spend big bucks to go from pss9 to pss10. Probably just about the exact same ride.

(I could be wrong, but his is my undertanding....get JRZ's or MOTON's to move up..)

Ok, didn't know that. Thanks. I'll check out JRZ's and Moton's. Do you have upgraded sway bars on your car?

Can you guys please explain in red? What options?

I have FVD spec Pss9s...

Bilstein - Some will also argue that the PSS9 should not be lowered to GT2 ride heights. However Bilstein and FVD both have solutions to overcome this myth. My own car has shown that indeed you can run at BELOW GT2 heights without problems of bottoming out on the bumpstops. There are a number of options for custom PSS9s, so educate yourself before you spend your money. All Bilsteins are not created equal.

ARD, It's in the custom valving and spring choice.

Yup, Jeff's right. I'd not replace PSS9s with PSS10s. If you're going to upgrade, spend the money in the other areas discussed. And I'd replace those rear drop links as well... They're the ones I had the most problem with breaking.

imho, what kpv was interpreting the bump stop sensation on his PSS9's was actually the change from bump steer. not the bottoming out of the strut.

Oak, When I talked with the tech rep at Bilstein, he specifically stated that custom valving and proper spring selection would transform the performance of the shock. This is pretty consistant with the conversation I've had with the rep at Koni about the existing chapman style strut I'm running in the Datsun Zcar I'll be tracking this year...

Al, I'll have to pull it off my log book, but if memory serves, I'm at the Lower side of the GT2 Range! We're in the middle of a bit of a "snow event", so I'll get it out of my car trailer tomorrow.
