My Dear, Dear Rabbit-toothed Walnut,
This is a discussion of injectors and 996TT/GT2's. It is not about go-carts, tiddlywinks, badmitten (which admitedly you are probably good at) or even more important pursuits like academics, martial arts, bodybuilding or laying hot chicks (all areas in which I excell).
As far as sub 6 second runs, here is all that matters:
4.62 - Markski / RWD / 2 shifts
4.67 - Divexxtreme / RWD / 2 shifts
4.86 - dk996tt / 997TT AWD / 1 shift
5.42 - Keithta / 997TT AWD / 1 shift
5.64 - Todd Z / RWD / 2 shifts
5.79 - Dr Jitsu / GT2 / 1 shift
^^^^
LMFAO !!!
Getting back on topic, I just took a look at the leader-board and, correct me if I'm wrong, it looks like there's only one 996 in the 6's on a stock fuel system: Adam Bowles and his 6.60.
Incidentally, the next fastest on the stock fuel system is me and my 7.01.

Hey Michael,
I never paid attention to that. Is there any way to really know? Most guys running my boost level ARE doing it on race gas.
it would be nice to have the official results listed with either a 93 next to it or "Race" next to it, for pump file or race file, because that will definitely make a difference.
your numbers are excellent
Thanks, I think I can do better, if the warm weather would come and STAY!
Yes, it does make it tough to compare. We all know dynos are subjective, so we rely on other peoples cars (with the same mods) to compare. But everyone runs different boost levels and fuels, so you really can't compare. My 6.61 was on 93 pump and at 1.3bar.

You are definitely putting down some monster power. And best of all your still safe. Not running the raged edge. you should get the race file and some 109 and see if you can blast a sub 6, I'd bet you can...
Thanks, I don't really consider 547 monster power, but respectable for a street car on pump gas. We were concerned about my duty cycle, which is why we added the 5 bar to my setup. Gave me a little more power a little more injector breathing room. Meth kit showed up today. Gonna do that very soon AND do a race file at the same time. Don't think I'll get anywhere near the 5's but I'll certainly try!

oh, I don't know acicheli ran a similar 60-130 time and his 1/4 mile was 10.66 at 132.6 mph. That's what dynos are so iffy. The only way to compare dynos is to do the same one on the same day in the same conditions. regardless your times are good.
I think that was with a 997 TIP. Awesome ET with a great 60ft probably?
Yeah, I learned a long time ago, dynos are for comparing IMPROVEMENTS on the same dyno with the same car, NOT the actual number. So when we stick my car BACK on the dyno, we know where we were and where we end up. Hopefully an improvement!

Well another reason is that 03 996tt's seem to be the fastest of all TT's

A race file should bump you a good 40-50 hp, I think that will definitely put you in the low 6 high 5 class. if you can get traction.
Thats what I am hoping for, but you know what happens when your expectations are too high!!! If I need to step up my injector program, I will.
I agree with the 03 thing too
