Interior conversion to full race car
No Steven YOU are the man, glad your car is coming along.
will you be racing?
will you be racing?
Now, if Kenny would only stop working on the YELLOW car and start working on the SILVER car behind your car I would be a happy camper!!!!!!!

Wow, Tom it has been a long time since we have talked I have read all 8 pages of this adventure! I've been tossing around the exact same idea of doing this to my car as well I am very excited to see how this is when it is finished! Get her done!
then will be racing at the PBOC/Goldcoast event May 17-18th
come on down and help me out!!
cant wait for those two Vortex cars to be racing door to door soon my friend!!
thanks!! good to here from ya!!
cage complete getting ready to paint today...

weighed the door while it was off (less several pounds cause no interior door skin)
and it weighed 58 pounds per door, FYI

will be replacing these with Cup car doors which are about 10 pounds.

Nice 1 Tom... looking good... going to be some beast when complete... where are the pics of the Carbon Roof, love to see this.
Here is a pic of the doors I managed to pic up for peanuts from a Team in Germany.... Cargraphic ones (5kg) which can retain everything... the only thing I am keeping is the windows (trying a Lexan in them)

Hey Tom-
I was playing around with a GT1 the other day and the first thing that blew me away was when I opened the darn door....... 3-4 OUNCES!
Great work. I can't wait to see just how much time you are going to shave off!!!

Wow, those are NICE Stevo! Are they on the car yet? Judging by what Tom says those doors would be around 45-50 lbs loss even with all the stuff in the doors?
If so, that is insane!
edit: I noticed Toms door still had windows etc. How much does the gutted stock door weigh?
