Skinny White Dude Racing XXX Kit Update!
Skinny White Dude Racing XXX Kit Update!
Well its 2:17am when I started this... I'll post a little bit tonight and finish the rest up tomorrow LOL. Pardon me if it doesn't make a lot of sense either.
First off we've been toying with a fresh DME tuned by Tony @ EPL for the last week... and this is where the story begins...
Last Friday I get access to my usual dyno and I get to make a baseline pull so Tony can check out how my a/fs. The car is being dynoed through my Switzer catback with 200cell cats. On wastegate spring only (boost controller on OFF) the car made 490rwhp on 14.2psi.
Monday I get back on the dyno to turn the boost up and start to really see how she does. I make a wastegate pull first and it makes like 492rwhp on 14.2psi again. I turn the boost up to 19psi.. The car starts breaking up really bad. I call Tony and he has me log for misfires. Sure enough the car is seeing a LOT of missfires on cyl. 2. Obviously it was a bad coil pack.
Tuesday Steve @ Drivers Source orders me coil pack and I pick it up on Wednesday. We get the car disassembled and ready to get stuff installed.
Wednesday we get the car back together and throw the straight pipes on.
Thursday ... The fun finally begins. I turn the boost controller off and make a pass... 521rwhp on 14.8psi. What do you know.. Straight pipes do help
Turn the boost up to 19 or so psi and the car makes something like 589rwhp or so. Then I turn the boost controller to 23.5 or so. The car makes 666rwhp SAE, 685 STD (the number some people like to use), and 691rwhp Uncorrected. The weather that day was 80-85* and the fan setup was VERY poor as you can see in the video I have.

Saturday comes around.. TX2K9 drag racing event baby! We get to the track after our hour and a half drive from home. I put a gallon of MS109 in to my 1/4 tank of gas just to make sure shes got enough octane in her and get in line. First pass after driving to the track I ran a 11.2 @ 136.8 (but a 108.7mph in the 1/8th and a 2.1 60ft).. Next pass that is worth talking about (I had 3 of my 6 passed that I either f*cked my launch or missed a gear) I ran a 11.2 @ 137.37 mph (again a 2.1 60ft and a 107.7 in the 1/8th mile .. hmmm..). I was lined up against Eric (Atomic Z) on that pass. Finally my best pass of the day I was lined up against the other EPL Porsche, and the only other Porsche competeting that day. I clicked off a 11.05 @ 137.07 (with a 108.9 in the 1/8th and a 1.9 60ft). The DA today was +1500 or more because of the 85*+ weather, almost 100% humidity and to add to that we a nice 10-15mph headwind we had.
All in all I am VERY pleased how the car has ran the past few days. I know with a 50* or colder day and a DA in the -1000 or better (For track newbies.. lower the number the better
) I can click off an easy 140-142mph pass if I can keep the boost at the same level. Which will put me as the highest mph stock bottom end Porsche on the forum (I know there is another car thats done a pretty insane number, but they aren't a forum poster).
It's been a very fun week. I'd like to thank Tony @ EPL for all he has done for me, and for putting up with 24/7. I'd also like to thank Wes and Nero from Titan for getting me all my new goodies. And finally Peter Blach (HoustonT) for putting on an awesome event for everyone to come to.
It was also good meeting a bunch of our fellow board members who made it down, as well as some familiar faces that I see every so often. Justin N, Wes (Onelove), Nero, Jamie (Ohio GT2), Tim (Basupra), Vince (Woosh), Paul (Paulie), Ryan (TXGold), and many many others. I've talked to so many people the last few days I've lost track of it all. LOL.

I agree, and I wanna buy the product now! So where is it?!
I'm sure I could search and find it, but maybe others will wanna know too.... what is your basic setup there? GT30s?

i saw several of your runs at the track.
the car is making tons of power on the big end. it looks like the setup is definitely paying off!
is your car 2wd or rwd? a few times on the launch, i noticed you were getting some serious wheel hop.
edit: just watched video. 2wd would expain the wheel hop.

Great trap speeds !
What did your car dyno on Friday at the show and shine.
You are at the edge of 10's like me and can taste it...
adding "an easy 140 to 142 trap " will not be easy, mph does not come from simple changes in weather.
my traps were the same in Houston (hot) as they were in Wisconsin.
It would be fun to see you break into the rarified territory of 140+
Good luck

No, I loaded up (wasted) 5 gallons of C 16, went out to Frank N Steins and tried to get something set up...no one wanted to go so I came home around 11...the moment I pulled into my driveway my phone rings and it is Peter w/ Jamie.
I will see you all out at the track today.
