tiptronic on 996tt

Everytime i take a corner hard and am accelerating out right as it was loosing some traction the transmission almost goes into neutral and I am no longer able to accelerated and I have to pull over and put it into park in order for it to go back into gear. Has anyone else had this problem???

What is emergency mode? Do you get dash warning lights? How many miles on the car? Any mods?

emergency mode is pretty much a limp mode where it will only stay in fourth gear and will not shift and the dash warning lights just say tiptronic emergency and it has 73k miles on it and yes it has evoms intake, FVD exhaust, GIAC tune, H&R tune, sway bars, and rims

Have they done a tranny flush? Could the torque converter be going bad? I am very interested in what you find out.

no but I have no clue what it could be and also we think it could be a electronic issue with the tranny cuz after we turn off the car and let it sit for about a minute it goes out of "emergency mode"

I don't think the tune is affecting the Tip. Its a different ecu. Disconecting the battery clears some codes but doesn't address the issue. Have you read the codes? Have you checked the trans fluid level? If it were me I would "limp" to the dealer and have it checked.

I would flush the tranny first and go from there.

I am taking it to the shop tommorow to have them check it and do a complete check on everything on the car and I will have them do a tranny flush also to see if that fixes the problem

First thought would be fluid level, but a loose/cut/leaking filter pick up seal can also cause those symtoms
