Some SOB hit my car...

Yesterday evening I drove the car when we went to old towne Fredericksburg for Dinner. It was a nice afternoon and the weather was great. We parked on the street a block from the restraunt and ate outside on the sidewalk. Unfortunately we were sitting on the side street out of sight of the car. We got back in the car, drove home, and closed up the garage for the night...

Today I pulled into the driveway with my truck and as I opened the garage door, I could see a baseball sized paint transfer on the right rear corner of the bumper...

Talk about being upset... But 15 minutes with my porter cable buffer and some optimum polish and it all came out... Still... I can't believe someone would hit the car pulling out and not even leave their info... Some people have no respect for others property... Talk about a bummer... Just glad it didn't damage the bumper skin or the paint.

Mike

I am glad your car is okay. The same exact thing happened to my wife's brand new car. I buffed it and the white paint went away..what a relief.

That sucks! Glad it buffed out! My wife was in her van the other day putting my daughter in her seat in the back and some lady opened her door into the van, then drove away before my wife could even respond...

People suck sometimes!

Good to hear it all buffed out! Must be a relief. Was it bumper only or did it involve the fender? Hopefully it was just paint and plastic, no metal work.

It makes me so paranoid when I know stuff like this happens. Karma's a *****, and the other drive will surely get his/hers some day...

man at this day and age you expect people to leave their info ? very rarely you will find stand up people that do that anymore... when i had my m3 i stoped at the super market to get some things real quick , i even parked down away from most cars, i got in my car drove home to find out later that a truck parked few carlengths away must of backed into me pretty hard with the trailor hitch .....

Mike -- That's terrible. Glad you were able to buff it out, nothing permanent.

Dude I would never ever park my car on the street. Its a crap shoot and the odds are against you. I had my m3 parked on the street one night and there was enough room to park a semi truck infont. As I was walking towards my car, I watched a guy back his car up into mine. I furiously approached him and asked why he did that and he said, "in the city of chicago its legal to bump a car when parallel parking." I told him just because something is legal doesnt mean its to be done purposely. He had a bewildered look on his face.... people are idiots.. period.

Hey, I guess it is true when they say, "it'll buff right out!" Hope you don't have to get a salvage title
