hey guys i am having a debate with my friend, is there anyway you would believe that a gt2 would ever sell for 50k unless its been smashed in half.

I have a buddy who claims that they are selling for this much at auctions.

what do you guys think

 

At auction, and the way things are going in the high end car market, very possible (but it would have to be a very high milage -40K+ car)

 

40k+ miles is considered very high? (I'm still getting acquainted with P-car standards )

 

It is for a GT2. Now consider it could be 40K track miles

But these cars are built like anvils.

 

He has probably confused a GT2 w/ a regular TT.

 

Probably a TT with a GT2 badge.

 

Is it at auction in GB for pounds sterling?

 

just so you know....no "clean gt2s" run at the auctions. I saw windy city motorsports buy a white gt2 in the 30s but the disclosure on the car was ridiculously bad. If your frind is looking up "Gt2s" on the MMR, I can also confirm that a very LARGE majority of those cars on the list are actually turbos or regular carreras.
