AWD reliable w/ our 650-700 kits?
SubscribeDifferential and transmission failure seem to have a direct correlation between driver and clutch engagement or wheel hop. Stay away from repeatedly dropping the clutch from a standstill or inducing huge amounts of wheel hop and you should be ok. I have been running around(in RWD) for a few thousand miles now at between 570 wheel hp and 650 wheel hp with no issues whatsoever. This is with a rather aggressive clutch setup.

I haven't had any problems either.
What about those with a Tip? How much power can that tranny handle, if you six-speeders are blowing clutches?
am running the Agency Power 600HP K24/18G Kit on my 01 996tt tiptronic its great asked the tech and he said the tip could handle up to 650-700 after that u need a torque converter and some other stuff

9ff does some cool stuff for the Tip. You should contact them if you have any questions. I have ridden in a high HP car with the 9ff modified Tip and it was pretty sweet.

Good call. I'm not there yet, but was just curious. I get bored with cars quickly, so each incremental change is appreciated more than just doing it all at once. (For me.)Originally Posted by Gunther
