Low Profile Jack

Can anyone recommend a low profile jack to fit under a '02 GT2 ? I want to buy one for use on track days to change tires.

Don't laugh but this MIGHT work. 3inch height minimum it says, I don't have mine handy to measure it and it might still be too tall. Rolling up onto a board might help. It's aluminum and has a carry handle on the sides - 24lbs. Handle is 2 piece and aluminum as well, is compact. Sears sells one as well but after the ordeal with them and my last car I won't shop there <shrug> Could perhaps be higher quality however.

Thanks for the reply VSE Chuck. I saw one at Griot's Garage that looked great but had a price tag of $399.

Same source as mine except that I chose the one that's supposed to be lower - no rapid pump and no high capacity though. Not sure which I've got TBH but on some cars I did still have to run over boards.

I'd agree that $399 is insane!

I have the DL20 floor jack, and highly recommend it. No problem at all getting it under my lowered Turbo.

Thanks for the suggestions everybody. I decided on the 4000 lb. rapid pump from harborfrieght.

Just placed the order and waiting for them to ship. The web page states min. clearance as 3.25" which should be fine.

I have the same one that Aboy.Gt2 has, not the rapid pump. Works great for $145.00 on my Turbo. Drops down to around 3" & still allows you to put a hockey puck in the middle of it.
