Cancer Sucks... Been a long day...
Couple you guys already know this as I've received several PMs... My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and was scheduled for surgery today. She had both of them removed and is doing very well this evening. As you can imagine, it's been quite stressful the last several weeks. We are very hopeful that she will be cancer free after this procedure, and all will be well... She's 65 years old (will be 66 in August) and we're hoping she'll be around for many years to come... I'm amazed at how well she looks after such a major surgery, and wouldn't have thought we'd be having a conversation or hugs and kisses after such a procedure...

I recently lost a close relative to a long battle with cancer and I know how the disease affects the entire family and friends.

My god Mike. Scary story, but fine result! Best wishes to you and your family. Sometimes going out for a spin after a day like today can provide a much needed pressure release valve.

patients that have surgeries that dont enter major body cavities (chest, abdomen) usually are up and around fairly soon and even go home soon.
hopefully she wont need chemo or XRT
call me if I can be of any help.
