To spare or not to spare...with 19"s?

All,

First off everyone on here f'n rocks! I have learned a ton about my 996tt with this site.

Anyway, I have a question for those running the well known 235/315-19" set ups:

When you get a flat, do you use the spare? If so, what's the safest distance driving it and at what speed?

OR

Should I just carry sa couple fix-a-flats and dispose of the spare (and accoutrements) and save some lbs ?

Opinions/expertise/experience please...

James

Well I have not had a flat, but I would just get the car flat-bed myself. As for removing the weight...the problem is the weight you remove is low in the front...where you need to remove weight is in the rear IMHO. So I keep the inflatable spare in the front (for weight distribution), but would never use it...I' can't wait to hear others opinions.

Also, reading from a post about spares(https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...-tire-c4s.html), there is a Porsche option for a spare that is 185/60/17 that is available (de-flated)...so I plugged the specs in the tire calculator and found this...Diameter Difference: 1.05%

Has anyone tried this?

After using the spare twice. My answer now is flatbed.
