Initial data from my EPL tial 3071s....(tune not complete)

For all of you who have been asking and PMing me I finally got the time to get the injectors in the car have Tony start to tune it. Here is some initial data:

Tial alpha series 3071
83lbs injectors, 5bar
EPL custom tune
Water/Meth ---> 50/50 meth/water (not 100% meth)
Cargraphics Exhaust
AWD

The initial pump gas file made ~583awhp at 1.3 bar on back to back hot pulls (not cold "glory" pulls! ) Adding some vp109 to the tank (more 93 then 109 in the tank) and adding .1 bar of boost (so 1.4bar) the car made ~620awhp / 676ft/lbs.

This pretty much maxed out the wastegates so we can't run more boost...yet! Once we adjust the WGs we'll run more boost.

Couple things to note, this is a pump gas tune and there was NO timing retard in this pull. The power isn't dropping off as much towards redline compared to some of the recent 24/18g and gt28 cars I've seen.

Overall I'm very happy with the initial results....once the tune is finalized I'll post the end results.

Here is the graph (mustang dyno):

Nice looking graph.

I assume you are doing this on a stock bottom end. Did you have to pull any torque in the tuning so as not to overstress the rods running GT30s?

One more question (since Iam fairly ignorant on these meth files)... Why do you add race gas if you are already running methanol? Would you not need to add race gas if you were running 100% meth?
Thanks

yes, stock bottom end....certainly a lot of tq at the crank....>800 by my calculation...

I'll let Tony answer the tuning question...

I'm running 50/50 meth/water....so its not getting the full octane increase as those who run 100% meth. Water has better cooling abilities so I run 50% water to help with the intake air temps.

Thats a nice smooth looking graph.

Geeze, I can only get 91 here unless I really go out of my way (25 miles) to get some of the hopped up jungle juice 109 from the track.

Great build!, I'd be careful at this point with the stock bottom end.

Very nice, Tq curve looks great. Hp curve looks flat, do you think you are running into another flow restriction at that point? Enjoy...

That is a killer dyno sheet. Perfect street car. Low end grunt and it doesn't fall of a cliff up top. Awesome stuff from EPL.

The CW of "no more than 700hp/tq or the bottom end will explode" is surely being tested and proven wrong a lot lately.....
