60-130 Event - Lonestar Motorsports Park - July 18, 2009
Sean, you ready? The good LORD might be watching out for you as I'm not sure that my car will be done by Saturday. I am heading out to Sterling McCall Nissan right now to check on the car and to meet the adjuster. There is over $6,000 in damage (in parts alone) according to the dealer. I have gashes in the leather on my steering wheel, door panel, center console, seat, etc... In any event, I am going to push as much as possible and if my car is not done I will still be at the event in my 2010 Nissan Maxima loaner!
If the race does not happen this Saturday it will happen at our next event. Start praying Sean, b/c the day of your whoopin' is coming!

Blah, blah, blah, Blach
With all due respect my dear Pietro, I am more concerned about the V ***** Nall Mobile and Bens car than yours.
There is going to be some good roll on racing (the rest of us are going from a 40 punch) on Sat.
But seriously, I hope you get things sorted out. BTW, will there be any fresh C16 at the track Sat? Tommy is all out.

Well, I just got back from Sterling McCall....the POS caused $10,941 of damage (parts and labor) to my car. The includes a new steering wheel (gash on the leather), new leather door frame, new leather on passenger seat, etc........ It looks like 10-15 days to get all the parts and complete the work. I'm SICK to my stomach about it.
Sean, as for you my friend!!!!!!!!!! From this point forward, we will have a 60-130 event EVERY 3rd SATURDAY of the month. We will skip August as it will be BOILING hot but we will resume in September. I would like to formally and officially keep my challenge standing to you, and would like you to agree to the same terms as we have set and committ to doing your best to making September. Deal?
To everyone else, looks like I'll be rolling the Nissan Maxima loaner to the event...Sean, I'll run you in the Maxima to the 330' mark from a dig!
LOL
Peter
p.s. I would email John and ask about the C16, I am not sure...

Peter that really sucks about your car, I hope you get it back soon. Unfortunately I went thru the same sh*t a couple of months ago, they smashed and grabbed my V1 at 0900 in the Hospital garage. I'm still finding little chards of glass!
Todd - you got that right!
I smashed my own window so that I could come up with a good story on why my car is down!
function - I know! The biggest issue is that the window tint stuck small pieces of glass together and so when they went flying, heavy chunks damaged all sorts of pieces in the car.
andre - this happened in rush hour traffic at a busy intersection in Houston. They probably broke the window, reached in and felt the glove box locked and moved on. I bet the whole deal took 5-8 seconds.
TT Gasman -
this truly does suck, looks like you had no tint and therefore the small pieces broke up better than in my case???
Sean - keep practicing that launch!
See you guys on Saturday.
