Heading to the Track

Well, after finally getting the yellow TT sorted, and absolutely enjoying the awesome power of the Proto PE700, I did a very impulsive thing and traded the car for a 2007 GT3RS.

Having enjoyed the awesome power of the PE700, the one thing that was lacking in the back of my mind was the tiptronic and the very soft suspension for track use. To get this sorted and ready for track use to my mind would entail further expense (gearbox converted to manual, Moton clubsport suspension and someone to dial in the actual settings of the suspension), and quite frankly the power of the TT was just too much for me to drive the car consistently on the track when matched with the tip box.

So the decision was made to swap it out for a track ready car. Given that a GT3RS had popped up in the market in the colour combo that I really wanted, and fully track spec'd with the roll cage, racing buckets etc) I jumped at the opportunity.

Picked the car up yesterday and thought I would share some pics. Thanks for all the info that I have obtained during my time here. Will still pop over regularly to see what new things are being done to these accelerating monsters. Ciao.

Larry, thanks very much. I really must admit that having a gear stick to play with sure is exhilarating again even though the power is well down on my turbo.

Great stuff Fabryce, thanks very much. Knowing my inability to keep things standard your services will very probably be called upon...

Thankyou very much Edwin, I will certainly miss the ballistic power of the turbo but I need to head back to the track more often and felt that I didnt need quite so much power for that.
