Since we are trying to hold these service providers accountable what the heck is up with "by design". They are in Culver City and its the second time I have been in there and they do not have any degree of customer service.

I went in there ready to spend some serious money on mods and even though the guy answered all my questions, I left hiim with some questions he could not answer.

He said that he would get back to me that day and give me pricing and some more information... no call.. and that is not the first time that has happened. I called back and informed the receptionist who I was an she said everyone is on the phone, do you want to call back... WOW...

There shop was disgusting and only one guy was working on the car. Something is going on there.. who knows.. does not seem like they are making money on cars....

I will never take my car there and I suggest that everyone else stay the hell away... Lucent ... here I come to check you out... on Friday to be specific...lets see what happens.. I know that Lucent is on this all the time and I hear good things.. I will let you guys know.

I had problems communicating with ByDesign also.....but that was over a year ago.

the main tech in by design opened up his own sshop called speed gallery in studio city, which is also a board sponsor like lucent

 

I bought my HRE's there about a year and a half ago - no issues. Sad to see that their customer service has tanked

 

I called By Design maybe 2-3 months ago and they told me they had some new ball bearing turbos that were being made to fit inside my existing factory turbos. I said really and asked the guy a bunch of questions, he said he would get back to me the answers. Guess what, still waiting......Never heard back...
What are earth is wrong with those people????

I agree with arling.. dont bad mouth anybody.. thats him but a customer when someone does not do what they say they are going to do ... its frustrating...thats what this forum is all about.. protecting eachother from scammartists.. what about the porsche dealership.. I am sure that guy is going to hear from us...

 

ok.. I am not saying that by design are scam artist.. my point is that this forum can help in many ways and that is one of them... by design just needs a boost or help.. they are not sponsors anymore.. I wonder why????

 

My only complaint about Lucent is that sometimes it takes too long to decide where to go for dinner!!!!

OR, they take you to a place that has BIG BUGS!! SMACK!

I am very happy with the service so far and I have bought quite alot of stuff from him, wheels, exhaust, springs, headlight cover. One thing I like the most is ..... Arling..... nvm... you don't want to know, I don't want to scare you !!
