Finally
I finally got it back, looking better than it did when I took it to the body shop, good right? My wife didn't feel like taking pictures today of both of us with the car, maybe it is a bad hair day, but she did feel like letting me take a pitcture of her plates and mine, to reinforce her authority and make sure everyone knows who is the real boss. It is funny, I could lead missions all the way on the other side of the planet, responsible for sometimes over a hundred men, but at the end of the day I still have to say "umhh honey do you mind if I......." before I do stuff to my new car........
Here are some pics anyway, and as soon as I can find a brave soul to ride with me above the speed limit and take some pics of the speedo I will put them up as well, to show just how much I am enjoying it.....and how thankful I am for everyones kind words, support and help.

I don't know if it was ever on ebay, I know a credit union repo'd it, where it has supposedly been sitting for a year or so, a close freind knew the president of the credit union and was selling it for the bank. When I said I wanted it he sold it to me for what was still owed on the note, which was a little under 25K. It did have some damage to it, and had some minor mechanical stuff as well (master cylinder, tune-up, muffler and catalytic converter, and needed tires but it was mostly fixed by the time I saw it. It came back clean on carfax with no damage reported. Is it possible it had damage and was never reported? If so carfax could owe me if I didn't love it soo much by now. I have bonded with it, so I am in it for the long haul, plus I am addicted to the feelling of the boost going crazy and my wife screaming at me to slow down.......

Sweet, I'll add you to the Texas Mile list thread https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...r-16-18-a.html. See you down there.
SPECOPSCPT - THANK YOU for everything. We are the land of the free, because of the brave.
We are all pulling for you to make a full recovery and to get that turbo just the way you like it. I'm looking forward to reading about the project.
By the way, your wife sounds like a very special lady. Best wishes to you both.

I think you read his post wrong, he meant the wheels look like they've been painted the same as the body color and darker than the stock wheels which are silver. I love how they look painted body color. Looks like you're enjoying the heck out of the car. Congrats on getting it back!
What Next?
I received the exhaust yesterday and couldn't wait another week to take it somewhere and have it done. The weather was nice (for Texas) and I decided to go for it. I started about 7pm and finished about 1am. The install is done, I didn't remove the bumper or intercooler, I just did it. My neighbors will love me more now as the old RUF exhaust drove them crazy even when it wasn't rattling the broken catalytic converter around.
So now I have a dilema, is there anyone who wants foootage of me shooting the RUF with about 50-100 rounds of .45acp, or should I do an autopsy to see what broke loose by having some local welder cut it open, rip out the innerds and close it back up and use it to annoy those same neighbors? I am not sure what to do. I like my neighbors and want to save my law violations for speeding, so I have no idea. Anway it is done and I will post picks with out the tips, before they get here. I am exhausted.

Thanks for your service. I hope to get the opportunity to thank you in person at the mile, but I keep backing out of making it down there ;-).
My vote is to ACP that b!tch! Make it 200 rounds. And if it's with a 1911, please take pictures of the gun, too

as fun as it sounds to use as target practice, I think you should do the latter. Take apart the cats and see if you could find the rattle and replace them. Then if you want, you could put the Ruf muffler back on and as you said, go back to annoying the neighbors hehe Or if you choose to stay with the stock system, either put the Ruf away for later use after other mods (they will happen, just a matter of time lol) or pay it forward to someone else who might get use out of it. Though making swiss cheese out of a Ruf exhaust does sound like a good time!
