60-130 with a surprise.
Okay so me, my boy Jim, and Vinod were screwing around on Saturday night around 1am. I was practicing different ways to launch the car and I dont have a high stall tq converter so I decide to brake tq the car in second gear and then down shift to first upon releasing the brake simultaneously. I didnt have a v-box but I did have my g-tech which is surprisingly accurate since it is always within 100th of a second when I run it on the track.
Anyways, I launch the car and it takes off, something felt totally different this time. I have never felt the car move so quickly. Usually Vinod is usually within a car length or two behind but looking in my rear view I noticed his is far behind me. Then all of the sudden my rear view goes dark and a huge cloud that look like black smoke is pouring out of my rear. I pull over to find antifreeze all over the place and all over vinods car!
I look at the g-tech. 60-130...5.8!

Identify where the coolant is coming from. My guess is one of the front raditors, one of the hoses on the top of the engine toward the back or the outlet housing on the left side of the engine bay.
Its not your head gasket as Powel said. (sorry chris) With 70k on the engine unfortunately these points are very common failures that we see often.

Tony is right, I forgot I was told by a Porsche mechanic here in Houston that is well known locally that they will not blow head gaskets and dump water. He said the coolant passages are different and not like a standard V or inline motor.
It's probably a hose that blew off or cracked. Did you have any wheel spin or anything? I blew hose off awhile back when I wheel hopped through 2nd and literly had the same thing. I covered the feeder road in smoke. Come to find out the hose behind the motor popped off.

Vince , also post up your 11.3 @141 trap pics. whatever it is ...his car was very very fast in that glory run! Hope its not something bad and you get it fixed soon. Before someone says he was running downhill or something like that....i know the road its very flat and straight...its our Mexico hwy in chicago.
BTW ... retest with a p-box and get it verified! I will say his....our 0-60 and 100-0 test with the g-tech and p-box are IDENTICAL. This car is really moving.

Paulie, what is your verified time again? oh that's right, you don't have one. Vince, I hope she is ok. I wonder if you could back that up? Droping into first at launch is crazy. Let us know when you get it sorted.

Too bad you were using non-verifyable device.
Good try though.
Now how about the 140 + trap speed, what drag strip was this at ?
Isn't it nice posting 60-130 times 007? What a relief to finally gain The 6's approval
. NOT!
Awesome time. That is a very interesting technique on down shifting at the launch. I guess you are able to brake boost from a stand still to a higher RPM in second than in first?
