my car is doing the same thing, but when i dialed it to spray less the sound went away, or when i turned it off. when we datalogged it it seems like the more we spray the leaner it got.

Are you using meth? When you turn it off, are you still at the same boost level?

Never found it. Spet hours on the dyno, street datalogging, still there. Developed a check engine light at the Texas Mile, P0507 fault code (idle control at stop)? It seems my idle is a little high now too, so I am thinking a hose popped off somewhere and I have a vacuum leak. Still seems to run OK, went out and ran a few 6.1's today...

I had the same code since I got all the new stuff put on and having been battling that code plus O2. I replaced my O2's, problem stayed. I went under tightened all the hoses and still existed. Checked it again and the compressor intake hose clamps were loose. I had tightened them but the clamps were as tight as they could go. They were to big. So I thought I had them fully tightened and they loosened up. Anyway, I thought I would share that. you definitely have a small intake leak probably. Not enough to slow you down much, but enough to cause codes now..I hate leaks

Thanks for the input Dennis. I will likely have to put in on a lift and drop the motor a smidge and see if I can find something loose. It doesn't seem to lose boost and I did a boost leak test right before the Mile and all was well.
I just noticed today when I went out with the Pbox that it seems to idle around 1200-1500 now and won't ever come down. It seems to run fine but the stupid noise is still there.

Mike, mine was doing the same idle crap. I would turn on the AC and it would drop a little. It is most likely on the vacuum side of the system. Did you get another code for O2 on one side or the other.

Nope, no other codes. My car has run perfect until this. It only makes this popcorn sound between 4k-5k and it's not detonation or anything else we can datalog. It seem to pull right through the RPMs so it seemingly has no bearing on performance. The idle thing just started after the Mile. I got a check engine light the first day of the Mile and it wont reset. Today is the first day I actually drove it since the Mie and I just noticed the idle thing.
