some early mile results
I technically have cats but they are hollowed out completely. I will try and get some C16 in the car soon enough and maybe run about 1.55bar. Honestly the car is just perfect how it is. Driveability is of 100% importance to me. No lag, great power and no quirks. The car is putting down the power very effectively at the moment and as the numbers from the mile indicate it goes like stink. Of course i'd love to see what its really capable of but I will not do so without ensuring it is done so 100% safely. Corey's numbers are certainly encouraging even if we are running different setups its nice to see how the stock block is holding.
Congrats on the new best Todd, Ben, Art ect!! It was good seeing you guys out there as well as getting a chance to see all ya'lls rides up close. Good luck to the Art and all the other Board venders still out there! Can't wait to see the TV show..
They're probably "hoping" it's heat related and with time to cool, the clutch might hold for a round... I must admit, If I'd driven from Virginia to Texas just to run this event, I'd be doing whatever I could to get my runs in... That said, Seeing the number of failures, the blown tires, and the conditions related "offs", I'll retract the previous post of "wanting to do this event". I think I'll just save the money and go run Daytona with one of the driving clubs!

yeah, I know, it does sound intimidating. Good thing for me is that if/when I do go next year, I doubt I will be close enough to 200 mph to worry about it. I'll put slime in my tires
They should be posting them up in a new thread here pretty soon.

looks like arts clutch is definitely done... they didn't even try 1 more pass. packing the car up and heading out. He's happy with the 221 he ran and look forward to doing it again next year with some of these issues worked out.
mike, hows that miata?? Kickin some butt heh? I think that's the thought, they worked so hard to get that car finished in time and hoping to get 1 really clean run in before they pack up and head home. I doubt I would ever drive my car in the mile, its not all too "special" but sounds like a good time, I will have to fly out next year to hang out with some of you guys.
I agree! Much respect to Art, VR, bbi, and all you guys who put in 100% making it out there and bringing the Porsche community together!
I think art was sandbagging.
Mad respect to Joe G and Evoms for keeping the title of the world's fastest Porsche in the mile. All the hard work (without cutting corners) pays off. Lot's of trash talking from others, dyno #'s and "call outs" prior to the event and then running like crap, gets no respect though.
