Dude a modded 996tt is miles ahead of any GTR you can buy now.. Seriously you must know your answer by now after all the technically enlightening discussions in this thread. Plus you will have some money left over for stocks and other investments.

i think it's easier to compare an AT 996tt against the GTR.
IMO a person that wants a MT car wouldn't settle for an AT no matter how good the paddle shift or performance is.
AT to AT, id say keep the GTR, just dont track it until the tranny issues get sorted.
The other comparison I suppose is whether one wants to own a car because of the feeling one gets from driving it or the feeling one gets having big numbers. I've driven the GTR, and although it's FAST, not very stimulating, nor challenging.
