996 Turbo or GTR?

996 Turbo or GTR?
How would you compare a 996 Turbo to a GTR? Can a 996TT be easily modified to 550AWHP or higher for say $5-$10K?
I can sell my GTR and buy a 996TT with some cash left over that I can put back into the stock market.
What do you guys think?

IMO, they are both great cars, both on the track and on the streets. Both attract a slightly different crowd, but they are also both performance powerhouses.
We currently have a special on an entire K16 package for $5995. A set of GT28's will offer you amazing spool time with enough airflow to support well over 600whp.
Don't doubt the GTR though, it is a very capable vehicle.

I think its comparing apples to oranges...
Are you happy with the GTr? Me personally, I think it's a LOT more car for the money (current technology vs. 7 year old technology) and I'm not sure you'll be as happy with the 996TT.
The GTr is just a damned nice street car, period.

your on your 14th car at aged 23 so i would assume you get bored easily and are not looking for a car to hang onto for a long time, if your bored of the gtr then try the 996 for a while, if you dont like it move on
you can get crazy power out of these things for not a lot of money, search the forum and you'll see tons of threads about it
other than being being fast cars they are both very different machines, both amazing in their own ways, have you driven a 996 turbo yet ? maybe see if you can drive a modded one and see what you think

you're both traitors
I agree, the GTR has grown on me. I would not trade my 996tt in for it, but if I had one I would be happy with it, except for the auto/man tranny, I prefer 6 speeds.

I disagree, you can get a 996 TT for half the price of a GT-R. Half the headaches, maintenance too.
