GT2 Poser in Scottsdale, AZ
While at a Porsche dealership in Scottsdale, AZ yesterday, there was what looked like a GT2 sitting outside on display. It had all body accents, wheels, wing, even badging... But I looked inside and saw tiptronic!
Can someone please enlighten me as to why people do such crap like this?

True, or perhaps because of the GT2´s better aerodynamics. But why in the world do you put on a GT2 badge?

I personally don't care what anyone puts on their car. Maybe they like the looks but want an awd and TIP?
It isn't "fake" to me. If you really can't tell the obvious difference, then I guess you don't know enough about "stock" Porsche's. This is not intended to be a flame on anyone.

It is uber gay, the people who will notice and appreciate a GT2 are the same people who will notice it is fake and the person driving an idiot, you see so much fake badging in NY its scary, especially Russians.

No matter how you try to justify it, FAKE = putting a badge on a car that states what it is not.

About a year ago an older gentlemen pulled along side KA with his family. He asked if it was a Porsche and then said that he had followed along for about a mile and that the sound of the exhaust was the best sounding exhaust he had ever heard.
I guess my point is, what difference does it really make. Why would I want to deprive someone else of their dream and enjoyment? On the contrary, I would look at it as a compliment to the real thing.

I dont see it much different than putting a gemballa logo, or strosek or even techart insignia.... people like different looks and have different ways of making themselves feel satisfied....
I see how high level porsche guys would get offended.. but really how many people are going to be able to tell....
Just my point of view though...even with my argument I still would not put a gt2 logo on my tt...

Problem is you get all these bozos who street race and then because of the badging think they just beat a GT2. Seems small but, its like a domino effect. I had a guy telling me he smoked a GT3 in his C5(non z06) vette. Turned out it was a Carrera with "GT 3" badging.
