Title says it all, wondering if you guys running k16/16g kits averaging $3500ish find the upgrade worth the extra cash, over a simple 1 bar flash averaging $1300ish. I'm on the fence and more interested in butt dynos and driveability than real hp numbers? Is it really noticeable? Thanks

There is absolutely no comparison to a flashed car. We're talking about over a 2 sec 60-130 difference and 100whp difference. It's not subtle, it's night and day.

Totally worth it....its night and day different. In fact k16/16g i had was more brutal in acceleration even compared to my 18g's.

In a 60-130/highway race the difference is 8-10 cars lengths.

You will need a new clutch, however.

Thanks guys you are making my decision even more difficult by making me justify the extra cash with all your praise on the power the 16g makes over flash. Wife's going to kill me. But maybe when she feels the difference she will understand. More is always better.

Factor 4-5 lengths for every second difference in a 60-130.

Is the pump K24 car flashed? In any event, the flash, turbo and swap are the most bang for the buck mods on these cars (exhaust would probably fall in that category too) after that it starts getting more expensive.

Without question, the most cost effective/dramatic change in performance mod:

turbos/tune/exhuast

It will transform your car and make it really fun.

I have a set of K16's at Kevin's being upgraded to ZC K16/26's. What are your opinions on intercoolers with these. Needed or not needed? I know I will need a new clutch.

"Need" may not be the correct term. I would use "will absolutely help", instead.

Now does the gain come from higher boost pressures of the bigger turbos or from a more efficient/cooler charge alone?
