I have both 03 hollow twist wheels off my coupe and gt3 wheels that came on my 05 turbo S. Trying to decide which to use for track duty.

Anyone know which might be lighter?

Are both styles the same widths?

I am guessing 8.5 front and 11 rear for both?

I tried to search the net to see where I might be able to pull the info on widths but had no luck.

The ft gt3 part # is 996.362.136.02, rear is 996.362.142.02.

The 225/40/18 look stretched over both style rims for front. The rears look ok and not stretched. Could I go with a wider front or front and rear with out messing up my awd?

Suggestions?

Thanks!

Turbo Spec wheels at 8 inch front and 11 inch rear. The GT3 style wheels that were optional on 04 and 05 Turbos are wide body offsets. They were also made in GT2 spec making them 8.5" front and 12" rear. All GT2 spec turbo twists are solid spoke and very heavy, GT3 style wheels are very heavy as well.

I suggest running your stock hollow spoke on the track. They're lighter.

Good info. Anyone happen to know what the widest tire I could run on the hollow turbo twists with out messing up my awd? I am thinking MPSC or R888's.

For R888, 235/40R18 and 315/30R18 definitely works (I'm running them on my stock sized BBS ReMgs). Dunno what's the widest one could run though

Honestly, if you have these wheels, do you also have a bathroom scale?

I run 255/35-18s in front. They are the same radius as the 295/30-18 rears

Thanks. I was not thinking of going any wider than your set up.

Ari, thanks, so do you run on 255 ft and 295 rear? Is this for street or track or both? Thanks again for you input.
