I assume you'll want to run on pump gas and regular street tires, but again we can work out the details going forward.

Lets try to stay in touch and get this done...
Yup. definitely daytime. Easier to see the deer. I only run pump and meth. There are only a few places to go. I'll be in touch soon.

.... and the TURBO S is faster than regular 996tt x50 witnessed first hand at track and on street.

Because of the "S" logo...............

You would not know this unless you have one in your garage or raced one in its stock form. I have been saying this since 2005. They are different.

My understanding is in 05 there were more Turbo S's made then regular Turbos.
Yes. Same as GT2.

JG GT500 is infamous around these parts
996 GT2 started with 462 hp, then was increased to 483
hp. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porsche_911_GT2)

However, the chart on this link suggests that the Turbo S had 489 hp, which is reportedly the same as the GT2.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porsche_996

Of course, wikipedia is not the greatest source of information.

This month's Total 911 has every iteration of the GT2 described in a piece about the new GT2 RS. I believe the numbers were the same as quoted above for the 996 variants, 462 and 483.

I was told by the dealer that only the S came with an auto trans, and extra hp on the map was to even out the performance. I know its bs, but let that roll around in your head for a bit.

I knew there had to be a "big" difference with the 2005 TT S cars from the 2 or 3 I saw running around the track I work at.

Mike,

It was nice to finally meet up with you at the Pike... I had a good time!

While leaving I quickly drove through Taco Bell and got hit up by a few kids wanting to race. I guess they hit up your buddy with the black Viper as well. I got a kick out of them doing the 10 second look over of the car (tires, looking under this and that) while trying to put something together. Probably had some highly modded AWD something or another with a big azz turbo and spray, but I didn't bother to ask them. It broke my heart to decline, but I had to get home. I almost called you to see if you were interested, but I figured to had limited time as well...

Anyway, we'll have to meet up again sometime soon. Looking foward to seeing some new mods on your car!
