how many bars should i be seeing on the dashboard when i hit max boost?

 

Stock car? I think it's .8 bar

 

in 4th gear i was getting 0.6

 

I was seeing .8 bar with peaks of .9 when stock.

 

Boost leak test.

 

If your car is stock and it is not x50 or turbo S it should be .7

 

thats good news..now you have a reason to start modding the car

 

in a non x50 you will typically see spikes of 0.7 bar and it will maintain 0.6 bar. an x50 car will be about 0.1 bar higher.

 

thats funny like TT boost stock was .8 at all times with the occasional .9 spike. my friends car the same.... i think you may have a boost leak.. so do boostleak test and see.

 

I have seen on stockers either peak .8/hold .7 or peak .9/hold .8 bar.

.6 is lame and there is a problem

remember depending on your turbos, these cars really light up at about
1.3 -1.4 bar (when using closed roads and professional drivers).

...and while you are thinking it's ONLY .1 bar?". Thats about 1.5lbs of boost...maybe 25 or 30whp...so you ARE missing something, and at stock HP levels that is a tick less than 10% of your power...

 

maybe in 2001-2002, but in 2003 they had .8-.9
