new turbo pdk retrofit to 996tt?

Can it be done and is it worth it in your opinion.

Also what do you guys think. could this car with pdk break into the 10's stock? 0-124mph takes 10 seconds. so high 10's will be 130 ish is my guess...

here is the info on the latest turbo:

Porsche have just released the first details of the all-new 997 Turbo S. The first 'S' in five years is based on the 'standard' Turbo and features performance upgrades across the board.
The twin-turbocharged six cylinder engine has been tweaked to produce a hefty 530 bhp; up 30 bhp from the Turbo. Despite the rise in power, the consumption figures are identical, making it a particularly efficient machine. Available exclusively on the Turbo S is a brand new seven-speed 'Porsche-Doppelkupplungsgetriebe' or 'PDK' twin-clutch gearbox. The top speed is 315 km/h (195 mph) and the all-wheel drive manages to get to 200 km/h (124 mph) in just over 10 seconds.
To keep all that power in check, Porsche have fitted the Turbo S with carbon ceramic discs and a mechanical differential lock on the rear end. The 19-inch wheels are inspired by the dominant RS Spyder LMP2 racer. As is more than appropriate on a top-of-the-range model, the new Turbo S' interior is fully equipped with the latest technology and all the luxury appointments.
The Turbo S will be available as a Coupe and Cabriolet. In Germany the Coupe is priced at 173,241 Euro before taxes while the Cabriolet comes at a 10,000 Euro premium.

Without knowing if it's even available as a retrofit option which I highly doubt, and its associated price if exist, I'm sure it's possible if $$ is no object. Didn't Kobe convert either his Lambo or Ferrari to full automatic to please his wife?

If it's possible and not a $20k option, I think it'll be a great option. Coming from SMG in my previous M3, though it's no match to the newer dual-clutch options from different manufacturers, tiptronic definitely has some downsides. But I won't complain since I decided to take a tip over manual to please my wife, as part of the approval process.

It would be very pricey and could run into problems. IMO would be smarter to trade your car in, rather then spend all that time and money trying to make something it isn't.

I believe the PDK won't bolt up to the GT1 block, which is why the 2010 GT3 does not have a PDK option.

The 10 GT3 has the 3.8 liter. Is that the GT1 block?

yes it is. The GT1 block has gone up to 4 liter in the RSR motor.

but I would not be surprised if they switched over to the all water cooled motor in the GT3 at some point.

You cannot take just the PDK, you'd have to take the whole power train, engine and all.

hmmm, the jury is still out on that motor. But the new car looks promising performance wise.

Yes it is 3.8 liter GT1 block but has nothing in common with the 997.2 motor.
