Do you guys get 'harassed' everytime you drive your car? (and other good car stories)
He said he clocked me from the side of the road, and caught up to me. I slowed down after I put a few buslengths on the Merc. Must've given him ample time to catch up. Had I known he clocked me, I probably would've kept on going.
No smart mouthing happened. When I was looking down the barrel of his gun, I knew I was headed for the slammer.

Yes you can, you just have to be going faster than the person in front of you when using radar in moving mode.
heres a memory
about 1964 three of us (just kids) are cruzin beach street in santa cruz. we are in a red 409 and got the lets race deal from another 409 (tourist)well we always went out the coast hwy to a place we called 4 lanes, had a line painted across the hwy and everything. ranson the driver decideds that to far so we pick a street called woodrow. it's very wide and a good place to race (if your a dumb kid)now we are not real smart and figure that everyone knows to shut down after 3rd gear, well they hit 4th real hard , we never told them that woodrow dead endeds it to west cliff drive and the ocean... thank god they got stopped before heading over the cliff and into the ocean.... we really thought they were aware that the ocean was only an 8th mile away....

My particular GT2 is low key.. well, it is Seal Gray but has the factory half cage which glimmers in the light. It is otherwise subdued for what it is.
NO. Nothing. Of course I am an old "gray hair" and that lends a different attitude to the situation. I haven't been stopped ..yet. Cannot say I haven't deserved it. If it is under 3 digits and I am not being an idiot I will quietly show my "retired" ID along with the other documents. Having worked as a "garbage man" for almost 3 decades prior to retirning has to be worth something. It sure wasn't for the money.
Oh, I also notice.... My wife keeps complaining that people harass her when she is driving her Audi allroad [silver]. I have a nice, old, "beater" big Lexus that I use for whatever. I discovered when I drive it that ..almost everyone leaves me alone. I need to merge..no problem. I want to do something..silly, I just make sure I do it..slowly and deliberately. It is hard not laughing! I have been driving her allroad lately. People ARE aggressive when I am driving it.
I also have a few old Porsches and .. nothing. Even the bright colored ones don't seem to get people raised up... except to look or chat.
I think at least part of it is that I now look like someone's grandfather. No one realizes that lurks within is a rather old child. Even my brother [think bright - aggressive - very modded 930] commented not long ago that ever since his hair started noticeably gray the cops either leave him alone or are nice to him.
So, the future is bright for you all... if you just wait long enough.. and ... keep the TURBO faith!

I was REALLY harassed today and became almost dangerous. I'm used to the mustangs, vettes, etc, but a Nissan Titan Red pickup hooked onto my bumper at the stop light and stayed there up to 60mph. He then tried to pass so I floored it to put some distance away from the guy. I looked in the mirror after passing 110 and he was STILL on my bumper. It was ridiculous. The road squeezed down to one lane or else he'd try to pass me at that speed. In a PICKUP!! I slowed back down to the limit when the lanes opened back up to two and let him go by. He had a wife and 2 kids in car seats as he went by. Can't believe anybody would do that in that type of car and his family. If I did that with my wife in the car, I'd be speaking in high voices from there on out!
Is it jealousy or anger because they're living in a family car and I'm able to get a sports car? I don't know but its getting ridiculous. I can't go out anywhere without somebody calling me out. Usually, I just ignore them.

You are doing it wrong.

Dude, enjoy your youth. One day you wake up and realize it's over, on the outside anyway. Gray hair may get you respect from the cops but nothing from the ladies, unless they are gray too.
