This is just not true. Very rarely does it require a crank replacement. The Gt3 guys have the same crank pulley and there was even a TSB on this. The issues were to do with cars with LWFWs and the stock steel pulley. The issue is somewhat rare and when it does happen it shears the index pin for the pulley, but it is usually retrievable by using a magnet or drilling and using an easy out.

i should have not used the word prone, but it's not worth it when a cheap part can help/fix it.. the aftermarket one fits like a glove.. i'd still change it if it were rare or problematic!

Tx Guys the Evoms Pulley is actually a smaller diameter wheel right though, which to go for ??

The Evoms pulley is the same diameter. As far as I know their is not any smaller pulleys availble. Nor am I aware why you would want to do that and change the RPMS of all of your accesories like waterpump, alternator and PS pump. Here is a comparison of the evoms and gt3 pulley.

Anyone have the part no for the GT3 RS Aluminium item its much lighter; do I need a special tool to fit this myself as well ? What the the OEM 996 TT item weigh please, something like 750 g ?

Hey guys,I just ordered the set-up from SUNSET which as I said before is usually cheaper on prices with stuff, lol ,was about $15.00 cheaper then Sun Coasts price..
