Help with rim size please

I am looking at a set of Avus rims from a fellow 6speeder. Black Matt centers with polished rims. The rim and tire sizes are as follows : front 19x8.5 with 225/35/19 and rear 19x11 with 315/25/19. They were on a widebody 993 turbo. Rims are very nice I just want to make sure of the fittment. I will try to get offset info from him.
Any help appreciated

Actually, with those tires, your revs/ mile will be dead on. You will have no issues from the front diff or traction control system with this setup.

Your issue may be rubbing in the rear as your overall diameter wil have increase .23 inches and your width will have increased by .79 inches. (over stock 295/30/18).

The key here will be your offsets. May need inside spacers depending on the offsets.

Thanks for the great info. I was worried about the rev/miles and you have put me at ease with that. I did not consider rubbing. How will I know prior to comitting to the rims?

Stay away from 20" or bigger. They suck! The guy that had my car put 20s on it and I am going back to the stock Twist asap. Here is what I have for those thinking about going bigger and it rubbing.
The Front are Ultrac - SESSANTA VREDESTEIN GIUGIARO 245/30 ZR 20
The Back are Pirreli PZERO NERO 295/25 ZR 20

I have 21mm spacers on the back and a stock suspension and the car does not rub at all.

If you were to put these tire onto the 996 with the stock offsets for the 996, I think they would be fine.

However, you stated that these have come off a 993. I have no idea what those offsets are, or if they even have the right offsets on these rims for the stock 993 as the owner may have changed them.

If you can figure out what the offsets are on the rims and compare them to the stock numbers for a 996 WB, you should have a better idea.

I can never remember the exact numbers for the stock offsets, maybe someone else can chime in here with those numbers.

Tires are perfect. Rims will depent on offset. Be prepared to roll your rear fender lips if you lowered it. They right might also scrape innner wheels or IC hoses at full compression.
