FYI on FABSPEED
FYI on FABSPEED
Just want to let everyone know on my experience with fabspeed, first off they took about 3 weeks just to get back to me on what i thought was gonna be a refund of some sort. I purchased the 70"maxflow exhaust with the 200 cell cats. Unfortunately when i was purchasing and explained the sound i was looking for, and was assured i would be happy with it, was completely opposite. I spoke to them and they said that they would send me the cat bypass and that would be the sound i was looking for... Obviously the price difference from what ive seen is quite a bit less with the bypass, Well the sound was better but not what i was looking for, BUT i said that i would stick with this for a bit... Its been a good three weeks since i last spoke to the Rep. from there anticipating i would get somewhat of a refund, and the answer i get today is ( and remember its been 3 weeks ive been waiting ) that the cats are used now and the price difference is 200 $ and that they will give me a good deal on the next order... Thats a bunch of bull. First off, i told them that if i had to pay a restock fee and take a little hit then thats fine but from my understanding, there is about a 2,000 $ price difference and im not happy... BUYER BEWARE, Whether you are doing business or are about to, be ready to play phone tag and get dragged along..

Oh and i forgot, the 200$ that THEY said, There not even sending it to me... Cuz they said they will give me a good deal on the next order..... NOT HAPPY..
I might have to get my attorney aka (MTHEORY involved)

I'm interested to see what happens from here on out. My dealings with them have been nothing short of fantastic. Hopefully they can work with you to appease you and I suspect they will. Their customer service was top notch for me and the others I know that have dealt with. Surely they will make sure you are happy before things are all said and done.
Out of curiousity what sound was it that you were looking for? There really isn't much variance between most of the exhausts on the market IMO.

The GMG exhaust is what i am looking for, A raw type sound, and honestly, i just should of got the exact what i was looking for, so i know that part was my fault.. But from one business man to another, i think things should of been handled differently..
The GMG, BBi, and Markski exhaust definitely have a more distinct sound. However give the FabSpeed some time before you swap out. The sound changes noticeably over the first 5K miles.
It's not uncommon that your first exhaust is not what you anticipated. Resell it and get what you are looking for. You'll take a hit but that's par for the course when it comes to mods. You're not alone.

yo should of went with markskis i guarantee you that is the sound your looking for.
I don't quite understand something; if the exhaust sound is THAT important to you, why did you purchased the Fabspeed without first hearing it in person? If you know you like GMG, why went with Fabspeed?
it's your job as a buyer to do your research as to what exhaust you want before buying, you can hear a buddies(travel to another forum members house/meet) and invest in hearing what you will be putting on your car (obviously very important to you). You should have checked google vids, i'm sure there is people with that exhaust posting up.
how would you feel if you had to sell stuff and what you recommended someone decided to buy and then say they would try it out?? 3 weeks later they say they want a full refund??? How can the seller resell that item? it's used now and it takes only days of driving to nick up a new exhaust and obviously seconds to foul up the inside.
You obviously haven't really thought this through on a practical and evaluative thought process.
I question the diligence you took in picking out YOUR OWN exhaust vs. the company fabspeed's actions/policies.

you said it yourself.... should have just got the GMG. If your unhappy, put the exhaust up for sale ASAP.... take a small hit, but sell a basically brand new part at a great price. I'm sure there is someone who is looking for a nice new exhaust and will purchase it.
I Had the Cargraphic exhaust 100 cell. Then i got the fabspeed, by no means did i ever want a refund, i was just told that once i got the catbypass that i would get the difference.. I am by no means trying to get anything for free or take advantage BUT, i think that good business is a different thing. I did hear the GMG exhaust and when my mechanic was talking to fabspeed, they assured that it was similar. Well anyways i have a Cargraphic 100 cell and a fabspeed maxflow. Maybe someone wants to make a deal... Oh and by the way you were right in saying. If i liked GMG why didnt i just buy that... Im kicking myself right now literally for that...
