This weekends Mod: New sound

This weekend it was time to update the stereo system. I already had a double din Clarion, but was unhappy with it. And the stock speakers... pure junk.

So I installed a Pioneer Avic Z1100BT and Hertz speakers all the way around. Alpine digital amp is pushing it all. I was actually going to put a couple woofers in the rear in a customer fiberglass box. A shop actually built 1/2 the box, but then I realized it was heavier than I thought it would be, so I scratched the plan. I HAVE to get some lower decibels in their though. I am pleased with the change, but have to figure out a way to get some low end bass, yet make it removable so it doesn't add permanent weight.

These cars are tough to work with!

Nice, for some subs have a custom box made that has quick disconnects and sits on the rear deck. Mine comes out in about 10 min.

Yours looks awesome. I had the same one installed. I left everything stock except the unit. I could not be happier with it. I have an 01 (pre-MOST) and install was not difficult.

Is the piece around the LCD screen stock or did you have to order it?

Wow. Nice systems! I need some woofers in back. Plan is to build a quickly removable box. Problem: roll bar makes it very tough. I'll figure it out though.

I lover your guys boxes. That was similar to what I had started, then realized it wouldn't be removable.

My plate around the head unit... I bought it from that vendor on here that sells the kits on ebay. AWESOME guy!!! Im out of town and in hurry and can't remember his name right now. BUt highly recommended!
