Windshield

It just cost me in round numbers $1100 for replacement of my 2004 Cab Turbo Windshield. That was done a Porsche dealership with Porsche OEM glass and Porsche parts (gaskets etc) being used. That also included 7% NJ sales tax, and a $100 discount.

I would've thought nothing? Who doesn't have glass coverage on their insurance?

everyones estimates are right on...total cost for oem with installer familiar with Porsche windscreens and all the associated parts about $1,100...or your deductible since it is comprehensive...don't let them talk you out of oem parts and an installer familiar with these cars since that is your right...others have given in and ended up with wind noise or leaks

How big is the crack?
I repaired a small chip in my windshield with a kit from the auto parts store and so far it has worked beautifully. If you get to it quick it wont spread.

It is the whole half of the drivers side straight across at eye level. Good thing the windshield was there or I would be paying my dentist, hehe

I just got a quote for mine - $1,100 installed, but if it happened because of flying objects while driving - insurance should cover you.

nice thing about Florida law; cracked windshield or chipped is 100% covered by insurance, 0 cost to driver.

I had a streak where I went through about 3 windshields in a matter of two months, I was about to lose my mind
