I have been challenged to a race by a friend, he thinks he is going to destroy me. He has an 05' Dodge Ram SRT10 Quad Cab supercharged headers etc. 745 hp 608 rwhp. Here is my opinion I think that I will win for a couple of reasons. 1: 745 hp is alot but so is almost 7000 pounds. 2 AWD I have to belive I will get better traction. Also I was in the truck Sunday and the truck is fast but my car seems faster.

I'm sure you won't have any trouble. Its 2 wheel drive and lightish in the rear. My buddy has a supercharged SRT-8 Jeep. Now that thing will fly from a stop but my stock Turbo would pull on him from a 40 mph role.

 

It's got a lot of power but I think you will take him. Those rear tires will spinning like crazy for traction. And of course like you stated lots of ponies but lots of pounds also.
You should easily get better traction then him and take him off the line.

 

Any mods to you car? I think you won't have a problem like said , it weighs alot!! And good luck trying to get that thing to hook!

 

I wouldn't start out too close to him. With all the HP and no weight on the rear end, if it does hook up, it's going to fishtail all over the place.

 

My 2001 BMW 530i rolled a Dodge Ram 5.7 Hemi. I was easily a car length and half ahead of him...Bmw is 231hp..don't know what the Ram is.

 

I have beaten one when I first got my car about 3 years ago (before any mods). It kept up with me pretty good until I took a curve (on the freeway) at 130.

 

I am thinking the s/c pick up might whoop your *** unless you have mods!
I am seeing that no one really read the description of what he is racing, super charged viper truck. Yes it's heavy but I am sure it'll move. When is this happening?

 

So I poked around some more and stock ones pull high 12's where as the s/c ones go high 10's to mid 11's. Good luck

I know his truck weighs a lot, but thats a SC viper engine. He'll run 10's all day with that setup.

 

The pwr/wt ratios are close but you have him beat there. But you will hook, unless he has tires and some suspension mods his only chance is to work the throttle and by that time your gone. It takes a lot to move a full sized truck, plus their areodynamics (once they do get moving) suck! His pushing a building not a sports car.

My buddy has a Ford 4x4 diesel making over 800 lbs of tq to the wheels and he has a ran a best of 11.80 at 118 mph. He has to run in 4x mode or he spins all the way down the track.

 

The extended cabs are all auto so if he has decent tires or drag radials he definitely will be hard to beat.....especially if he has a stall!

 

If the truck really weighs 7000 lbs and you are a decent driver then you win. If the truck really weighs 6000lbs or less or you are a weak drag racer then you could lose (which would be very ugly given the roles of the vehicles involved)...

 

I am hoping this race will actually pan out unlike most of the " we are racing or who will win vs lambo etc. Race and lets see what happens

 

Single Cabs maybe, I had one and they are fast.

The QC ones are pretty quick modified though. If he really is in the 700+ range he will have a spool and built transmission (the stock one blows up with any mods) and will walk you in the quarter unless you can really drive.
