Looking for power source
Looking for power source
Gents,
I'm looking for a power source under the dash with ignition switched power as I'm currently installing my gearshift indicator. www.gaslock.de
Appreciate any help.

Look for the cellphone wiring harness inside of the center console. There's a schematic around here somewhere. Alternatively, some people use a fuse-splicer in the fuse box. Again, there should be info around here as to which fuse position is switched.
Found it. Look at the bottom pic, and the description of the wires below it. I used the "T-Splice" clips you can get from any auto parts store.

It's easy. You literally start puling on the center trim panels, from back to front. Reach in, and pull forward and towards the side of the car. (If you're in the driver's seat, pull towards your left foot.) The first, carpeted, one will pop right out. Then the harder plastic one will pull right out, too. Look for pics of the pieces, so you know what tabs are in there, and can be sure not to break them. The process literally takes 5 seconds once you know what you're doing and aren't afraid of breaking anything.

It's possible that they didn't come pre-wired in Sweden, but I doubt it. Mine was tucked in there pretty tightly. I needed to give it a good tug to get it loosened.
