P1109 is back!!!
P1109 is back!!!
The dreaded p1109 code is back!! First I cleaned the maf then replaced it with a brand new one. I also replaced the throttle body. I did a boost leak test as well. I'm running out of options
At idle the rev go's up and down and eventually cuts off completely. The only code on durametric is p1109.
P1109: Input variables, charge measurement above limit
Possible fault cause:
heavily soiled throttle
Throttle adjusting unit faulty
MAF faulty
My setup is a GT700 with HMAF.
Any thoughts would be appreciated!!

Here is the youtube vid with the car just shutting off at idle

Hunting at idle and stalling is USUALLY associated with a vacuum leak. MAF's on these cars are evil... Smoke test?

Will be checking the fvd inlet hoses to the turbos... Hopefully this is the issue!
Yes did this approach when we checked for boost leak and replaced the H-maf with a brand new one.
So did a boost leak test & smoke test, brand new hitachi maf, brand new o2 sensors all 4 of them, brand new throttle body and still p1109 input variable charge and hot film maf.
I'm all out of ideas!!

Just an idea
Have you checked that the connector plug and wires to the MAF is ok? I think there is a description on how to measure the wires in the electric manual. I had a similar problem with my 993 it almost drove me mad till I found the problem with a bad wire in the connector.
best of luck

Very good suggestion and yes I checked the wires since few people had that problem.

I had a boost hose blow off and give me a MAF code (P0103 as well as 5525, ABS and PSM). Idle was as described by the OP right up to the engine cutting out. I removed the connector to the MAF and the engine smoothed out perfectly at idle. There was nothing wrong with the MAF at all - just reconnected the boost hose and everything was back to perfect.
